I have worked as a Graphic Designer and Art Director for over ten years, leading projects both in-house for large companies and freelance for small businesses. In this time, I've been entrusted with consistently expanding and improving the identity and integrity of these brands. The ability to listen and fully understand the needs of a project is primary to my work, and I take pride in being able to virtually read a client's mind and visually interpret his/her ideas. True satisfaction is a win-win outcome that, on the designers end, is achieved by fulfilling the requirements, presenting an array of options, embracing feedback, and exceeding expectations.
Graphic design is more than a profession. It is a philosophy and a commitment to craft. Before paper currency as we know it, there were bank notes—essentially IOUs. What gave value to these mere pieces of paper—aside from the text and signature which could easily be forged—was the impossibly executed design of the notes themselves. Only a handful of individuals were skilled enough to draft the extremely intricate penmanship these notes displayed. Great design is much more than something enticing to look at, it creates legitimacy and value.
